Public-Private Partnerships in Electricity Generation with Renewable Energy


Thailand has gave an opportunity to the private sector becomes to involve in the production of electrical energy by 2535 BC. The partnership has been continuous improved to be promoting private to production of electrical energy from renewable source. To better understanding how policy can be more effectiveness, then this article will study the opportunities that the private sector participation in power generation is formed. We focused on how factors of working between public and private, social, economic factors and environment affect to effectiveness of policy. Literature review in the area of public and private partnership and renewable energy implementation has been conducted. Finally, model of public and private partnership for promoting using renewable energy for produce electricity has been constructed.

Nattapong Phuensaen

Nattapong Phuensaen works for Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand. He hold the Electrical Power Engineering Licence. He has experience with power plant construction and commissioning for 8 years. His experience include power transforer, relay, generator, and controll system testing. He is an advisor to committee of science and energy , Thai parliament. He has his master of science in Industrial and Systems Engineering at University of Florida, and Beachelor degree of Engineering in Electrical Engineer.
